SocietyCart is a brand owned and operated by MYCLOUDWISH TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED, a company incorporated in India ("MYCLOUDWISH", "we", "us", "our"). MYCLOUDWISH is the entity responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

We operate the SocietyCart customer app and the SocietyCart Shop app, which let residents of a residential society order groceries and daily essentials from shops inside their society and have them delivered to their home. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the ordering and delivery service:

• Phone number — to create your account and sign you in with a one-time password (OTP).
• Name — shown to the shop so they can identify your order.
• Delivery address within your society — the society, tower, and flat you select, so orders reach your door.
• Order information — the items you order, order status, amount, and payment method (Cash on Delivery or UPI). We do not collect or store card numbers, bank details, or UPI credentials.
• Device push token — a notification identifier from Apple/Google (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send order-status updates.
• What you search for and browse in the app — the search words you type and the shops and items you open. These are recorded against your society and a pseudonym for your home, never against your name, your flat number or a precise timestamp, and they are used only to produce the grouped statistics described below.

We do not collect your precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or track you across other apps or websites.

How we use your information

• To register and authenticate you via OTP.
• To place, fulfil, and deliver your orders through the shops in your society.
• To send order-status notifications (placed, packed, out for delivery, delivered).
• To provide order history and let you reorder and save favourites.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.
• To produce grouped statistics about a society — for example how many homes in a society ordered last month, or how many searched for an item nobody stocks. We use these internally to run and improve the service, and we show them to the shops that serve that society so they can decide what to stock. They are grouped so that they describe a society and never a person: a figure is only produced from a large enough number of homes, sizes are rounded rather than exact, and nothing in them can be traced back to you, your flat, or what you personally ordered or searched for. We do not use them to build a profile of you or to target you individually.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to provide the service:

• With the shop you order from — your name, flat, and order details, so they can prepare and deliver it.
• Service providers we rely on: Amazon Web Services (hosting and OTP SMS via Amazon SNS) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging / Apple Push Notification service (to deliver notifications).

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Data retention

We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Search and browsing records are kept for at most 400 days and are then deleted; only the grouped, society-level statistics described above remain.

Your choices and rights

• Turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data — including deletion of your account — by contacting us.

Children

SocietyCart is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act treats anyone under 18 as a child, so an account is for adults: if you are under 18, please use the service through a parent or guardian's account. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
